Custom Homeopathics and "Mapping"

"Mapping" is a process developed by Dr. P. St. Amand. As a measurement tool it has not been standardized or shown proven reliability or validity. It is practiced with varying success by various people who have learned it from a Dr. P. St. Amand or from a video he produces. A number of people find it helpful as an indication of phosphate clearing.
 

We have not chosen to use it as an outcome measure, since the FIQ questionnaire has been standardized, has proven reliability and validity and is independent of the skill of the person using it. It is widely used and recognized as meeting the requirements of an acceptable outcome measure.
 

People who are taking guaifenesin often ask us about the C-HP and people's results when they are mapped. There are people who started with mapping while they were on guaifenesin and continue mapping when they start the C-HP. They have been kind enough to tell us their results. The following comments are representative of the many we receive. The first set of comments are from a person who discontinued her guaifenesin before she began the C-HP. The second set is from a person who first continued her guaifenesin, and then later reduced her dose from 2400 to 1200 and then to 300. The third report is from someone who is continuing guaifenesin and purposely blocking it, as discontinuing it proved too painful.

3/15/02

"Yesterday, I had my 4th mapping done; it had been two months since my last one and I have been off guai for three weeks. The map itself shows a total of one more lump than last time (19 vs. 18 and down from 52 in October); however, the size of the lumps has decreased and several of the old ones are gone. My mapper reported a huge decrease in edema, and her sense that big deposits are breaking up into smaller ones. I'll have her map me again in a month, so we can see how I do while completely off guai." S. J/H
 

4/17/02

"By the way, I was mapped again yesterday. The total number of "lumps" has stayed the same, but they are smaller, some prior ones are gone, and a few new ones have appeared. I'm guessing I haven't cleared muscles yet, but it's very clear that going off guai hasn't brought my lumps and bumps back as predicted by the "experts." S.J

"I am back from my mapping. The last one was six weeks ago. My map had quite a big of improvement. He said I was ready to cycle bigtime. The remaining deposits were puffy and filled with fluid. The fascia on arms and legs was very puffy. The tendons and ligaments in hands and feet are puffy. He wants to see me in a month this time to keep an eye on it.
 

Oh, I may have told you, can't remember..my MT was with DSA in Atlanta and learned mapping from him in a hands on 4 hour session. He knows the Guai protocol inside out." M.B
 

5/20/02

"I was mapped on Wednesday and there was more improvement, especially with the back muscles. I told my MT it felt good when he massaged my back, he said that was the way it was suppose to feel and we laughed. My lower legs and feet are cycling hard. He said the strip of fascia that goes from under the knee to the feet was very puffy. He said deep old deposits have surfaced on my lower legs. I can see the lumps. The fascia is so puffy I can tell, it looks like the skin is stretched. He did myofascial release and it was murder but felt great for a few hours after. I hope it starts remembering soon how it is suppose to be. He thinks we are getting down to the nitty gritty since my legs were the first and worst symptom. He wants me back in a month again. My MT said there is deep old stuff coming up and the fascia is clearing as well. The lumps are still puffy.."M.B
 

6/19/02

"I was mapped today after a month, there is quite a bit of improvement as you can see. My MT wants me to stay at 1200mg. Guai for the next six weeks until I see him again to be sure. My regular dose was 2400mg. Oh, my MT said my muscle tone had improved a lot in the last month. I actually enjoyed part of the massage for a change..the myofascial release was hell though." M.B

"My MT started talking about more cycling of a couple old deposits on my back. When I saw the map the back looked almost the same as it had a few months ago. I thought I had reverted or was blocking but he said that was not the case, they were elongated and puffy with fluid and had come from very deep. I read on Guai Group a few days later that old timers having a time cycling tendons were having deep old deposits appear to cycle again. My MT said he thought I could go down 300 more on Guai. Here is the last map. Notice that the big lump that was in the middle of the lower back on the last map is gone for now anyway, it may cycle again from even deeper. The place on my shoulder and the two places on the back have cycled a few times before. Very deep stuff is said to appear when the tendons start cycling. The reason the markings look elongated and big is because fluid has gone there to clear." M.B

11/11/02

"I have returned from my mapping and I am excited. The big lump that was filled with fluid to clear on the bottom of the right rib cage is GONE. The lump that had come from deep on the back of my leg to clear again is GONE. My arms are puffy with fluid going to clear and my hands hurt a lot..pressure on the carpal tunnel. The low back has some tightness, probably due to stretching and walking. It is not painful and I had not noticed it. The big tendons on the sides of the legs are pufffed. The tendon remedy must be working overtime.

Since my last update I stopped the remedies for a week because I was testing clear. I then took 7 days of the tubules remedy and tested and I have been dark blue ever since. I started with the kidney and liver remedies and changed to tendon over a week ago. I take 4 drops tendon in the morning and 4 drops liver at night....
 

I am preparing for my daughter and family for next week until after Thanksgiving. This will be the first time I have done the dinner in 8 years. I did it the first year. I got sick the first Sunday in December 93 but I don't know how I did Xmas, I thought I had the flu and just pushed through it. So this will be a huge milestone." M.B

"I gotta tell you, I am feeling better than I ever have since the onset of the severe FMS/CFS symptoms. in Aug. of 1997 (became bedridden with it in July of 1998). I am REALLY excited about feeling better now---played my 1st game of tennis last week (with the flu even!) and NO adverse effects afterwards and I felt wonderful doing it, too. Am getting ready to try my hand at golf again---woo-hoo, this is exciting!!! All of my muscles are softening and becoming pliable, noticeably more so since beginning the HP's (although it was starting to happen on guai these last 3--4 months).
